Greenbuild to expand to Europe next year

GreenbuildWashington—U.S.Green Building Council (USGBC) said that Greenbuild for Europe and the Mediterranean region will launch in Verona, Italy in 2014.
 “Greenbuild for Europe and the Mediterranean region is part of the global expansion of the successful Greenbuild Conference & Expo brand,” said CEO Rick Fedrizzi.

USGBC, Underwriter Labs form partnership

Hillary Clinton keynote speaker at Greenbuild 2013

This year’s conference will take place Nov. 20 to 22 in Philadelphia at the LEED Gold-certified Pennsylvania Convention Center. Registration opens June 5, 2013. USGBC releases 2012 list of Top 10 states for LEED

Washington, D.C. — Today, the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) released its annual list of the top 10 states for new LEED certifications in 2012, highlighting those regions that are transforming buildings and communities across the country.

The per-capita list is based on 2010 U.S. Census data and includes commercial and institutional buildings certified under LEED, through which approximately 2.2 billion square feet of space has been certified worldwide through 2012. Second public comment period open for update to USGBC’s LEED green building program

Washington—The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) opened the second public comment period for the proposed 2012 update to its LEED green building rating system. The comment period, which will close on Sept. 14, is the next step in the continuous improvement process and on-going development of the LEED program.
