InstaFloor names new senior vice president

Farmers Branch, Texas—InstaFloor North America has appointed Paul Clark to the position of senior vice president. In this role, Clark, an industry veteran, will head up the company’s efforts to promote and sell the Corques Liquid Lino (CLL) product line of liquid linoleum, which was officially launched into the North American market at Surfaces 2018.

Clark will work alongside Bas van Genderen, InstaFloor managing director, to further expand the footprint of the InstaLay and CLL product lines in the American and Canadian markets.

Prior to joining InstaFloor North America, Clark spent 10 years with Jeackle Distributors. Previously he worked with Mannington and Mullican Flooring. He can be reached at

InstaFloor partners with Duracryl

Duracryl is a Rotterdam, Netherlands-based manufacturer of durable seamless and hard floor covering products for residential and commercial use. InstaFloor is the Dallas-based subsidiary of the UK-based InstaGroup, a leading supplier of innovative, high-quality flooring products such as InstaLay and InstaCradle.

Bas van Genderen, managing director of InstaFloor N.A., sees a great future for the cooperation between the two companies as their products are complementary. Similar to InstaLay, CLL fits perfectly into the InstaFloor product mix. “When we tested CLL we were very impressed,” he said. “When we installed it over InstaLay 25 we realized we had an extraordinary and unique floor covering product, so it was an easy decision to add it to our product line in North America.”

CLL is being touted as the first liquid-applied resilient floor covering for commercial and residential use. It is packaged in buckets and is manufactured from a combination of natural products such as resins, linseed oil, wood, cork flour, limestone and natural pigments. It is suitable for use in many different applications including schools, hospitals, retail outlets, offices, museums, homes and apartments, and is particularly suited to high-traffic areas where a hygienic, seamless floor covering with a natural look and feel is required.

InstaFloor NA appoints new business development manager, new distributors

instafloor-na-logoFarmers Branch, Texas—InstaFloor North America has tapped Mike Darcey as the company’s new business development manager, West Coast, USA. Darcey has over 30 years of experience in the wholesale flooring manufacturing industry and previous worked at Ark Floors Inc.

In this position Darcey will be responsible for developing InstaFloor business covered in the southwest by distributor BR Funsten & Tom Duffy, which has a comprehensive network of 23 locations throughout California, Arizona and Nevada. He will also develop business covered in the northwest by new distributor, T&A Supply Co., which supplies a range of flooring materials and accessories from its 17 ranch outlets in Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, Alaska and Hawaii.

“We are very pleased that Mike has joined us and I’m sure he will prove to be an important addition as we look to further expand our business and increase market penetration, particularly for our acoustic, self-adhesive flooring installation system, InstaLay,” said Bas van Genderen, managing director of InstaFloor NA.

InstaFloor aims to enhance its continued market growth through the addition of another new distributor covering the southern states. InstaFloor appoints new west coast distributor for InstaLay

InstafloorFarmers Branch, Texas—InstaFloor North America has appointed BR Funsten & Tom Duffy Co. as the latest key distributor for InstaLay, its self-adhesive flooring installation system. They will undertake distribution from its 23 locations in California, three in Arizona and two in Nevada.

Founded in San Francisco over 60 years ago, BR Funsten & Tom Duffy is now one of the largest flooring wholesalers in the U.S., providing a comprehensive range of flooring products and services. InstaLay is a perfect fit as it can be used to install LVT, hardwood, laminate and carpet tile, all of which are offered by BR Funsten.
