Arboritec USA has announced Golden State Flooring, currently with locations in San Diego and San Jose, as the exclusive master distributor for the Arboritec line of ceramic fortified waterborne finishes and sealers in California.

Wood mills form alliance, file petition on Chinese imports; aims to level the domestic hardwood playing field

WASHINGTON—The Coalition for American Hardwood Parity (CAHP), an association of U.S. manufacturers of engineered wood flooring, filed an unfair trade petition on Oct. 21 regarding imports of multi-layered wood products from China.

The petition, filed with the U.S. Department of Commerce and the International Trade Commission (ITC), asserts that imports of the product are sold in the United States at dumped prices, and that Chinese manufacturers have gained an unfair competitive advantage. IndusParquet set to bring stability to exotics market, former BR-111 supplier goes direct to U.S. distributors

Hicksville, N.Y.—Brazilian hardwood flooring manufacturer IndusParquet, which had been supplying the United States market with its exotics portfolio for the past 20 years through a private-label arrangement with BR-111, will now service dealers directly through many of the industry’s top distributors. Jason Strong, the former vice president of sales for BR-111, will head up the business as vice president of sales and marketing.
