Carpet Design Awards finalists named

In November, a jury nominated the best handmade designer carpets for the final round of the international competition. Presented in eight categories, the Carpet Design Awards honor the outstanding quality and design of the world’s best carpets. The number of entrants was particularly high this year, with a total of 320 carpets from 21 countries submitted vs. 250 entrants the previous year. Twenty-four carpets have made it through to the final round and will be on display at Domotex Hannover, slated for Jan. 16-19 here. The categories range from studio artist, classic/traditional and modern designs to best innovation. The winners of each category will be formally announced on Jan. 17 in the Innovations@Domotex area. Finalists are as follows:

Domotex on pace for successful 2016 show

Screen Shot 2015-10-06 at 10.41.09 AMHannover, Germany—Domotex 2016, being held Jan. 16-19 at the Hannover Exhibition Center, is showing signs of a successful turnout. With four months to go, the show is expected to feature about 1,400 exhibitors from more than 60 countries.

“The response from the market has been extremely positive,” said Dr. Jochen Köckler, managing board member, Deutsche Messe. “About 85 percent of the show’s exhibitors will be from outside Germany. They are taking part in Domotex 2016 in order to tap into new export markets.” After Germany, the largest exhibiting nations in terms of leased space are Turkey, India, Belgium, China, the Netherlands and Iran.

Domotex on target for successful 2016

Screen Shot 2015-05-27 at 3.46.00 PMHannover, Germany—Domotex 2016, slated for Jan. 16-19 here, is expected to be successful, with 80% of the space already booked. Around 1,400 exhibitors from 60 different countries will be attending Domotex 2016 to showcase products and new collections. The Wood Flooring Summit, a flagship dialogue hub and marketplace for the parquet and laminate flooring industry, is entering its third season and will run alongside the Innovations@DOMOTEX showcase in Hall 9. Organizers are expecting a lineup of around 200 exhibitors from the parquet and laminate flooring industry, plus over 180 providers of application and installation technology.

“Domotex 2016 will be a strong international and innovative event,” said Jochen Köckler, member of the managing board at Deutsche Messe, organizer of Domotex. “All indicators reveal a very favorable trend.”

Domotex Germany to feature installation technology

Screen Shot 2014-10-07 at 1.25.37 PMHannover, Germany — Domotex 2015, set for Jan. 17-20, will feature 1,300 exhibitors from more than 60 countries.
In 2015 the trade fair is expanding and will for the first time also feature innovations in applications and installation technology. These will be showcased in one of the three special display areas, which will also include textile and resilient floor coverings, parquet and laminate flooring, as well as modern hand-made rugs and carpets.

In addition, internationally renowned architects and designers such as Stefan Diez, Ross Lovegrove and Roberto Palomba will be discussing the latest developments and applications in the flooring sector at the Innovations@Domotex talks.

Jochen Köckler, member of the managing board at Deutsche Messe, more than 90% of visitors are involved in their companies’ purchasing decisions.
The world’s leading suppliers of floor coverings will be represented, with more than 85% coming from outside Germany.

NWFA Offers DOMOTEX Hannover pavilion opportunity

The National Wood Flooring Association will continue to have its presence at DOMOTEX Hannover, taking place January 12-15, 2013 in Hannover, Germany. Wood flooring manufacturers will again have the opportunity to increase their global market by exhibiting in the NWFA Wood Flooring Pavilion. This opportunity is limited to 10 exhibitors.
