March 2012: Mannington acquires Amtico

To bolster its luxury vinyl tile (LVT) business as well as expand its global reach, Mannington Mills has acquired Amtico International for an undisclosed amount.

Based in Coventry, England, the 47-year-old Amtico operates facilities on both sides of the pond and has annual worldwide sales estimated at $180 million with approximately $75 million of that coming from the U.S. Continue reading March 2012: Mannington acquires Amtico

Resilient: Environmental update, NSF 332 in early implementation with mills ready to follow

The philosopher Aristotle once said, “If one way be better than another, that you may be sure it is nature’s way.” A widespread embrace of sustainability initiatives brought the resilient flooring industry to a realization that nature’s way is the best, and the market was flooded with third-party certification programs proving so. Amtico voted top place to work

Atlanta—Amtico International has been selected as one of the top 100 workplaces in Atlanta by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The manufacturer of resilient flooring placed 47th on the small business list researched and compiled by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution based on nominations for more than 495 companies and surveys from 40,000 employees. Employees graded their companies on several factors including direction of the company, work conditions, career paths, management, pay and benefits.  Amtico International’s North American headquarters and manufacturing facilities are located in metro Atlanta.
