ST. LOUIS, MO.—The National Wood Flooring Association, (NWFA) has redesigned and relaunched its consumer web site, woodfloors.org. Among the improvements are simplified navigation, updated content, and additional photos of beautiful wood floors installed by NWFA members.

The site helps educate consumers about the beauty, style, durability, value and environ- mental benefits of wood flooring. Consumers can learn about both solid and engineered floors; and how strip, plank and parquet floors differ; how different finishes can impact the look and maintenance requirements of the floor, and the environmental advantages of wood flooring. They also can view numerous photos of wood floors identifying the type, style, specie and finish of each floor.

The new Design-a-Room feature allows the consumer to try different wood species in different room settings for a feel as to how a certain style might look in her own home. Once she reaches the decision to buy, she can search for professional installers in her area using Find a Professional or Product by city, state or province or ZIP code, mileage, area code, country, or even by individual name or company name.
