Shaw enhances consumer experience with new digital app

HomeNewsShaw enhances consumer experience with new digital app

Dalton, Ga.—Shaw Floors digital and residential marketing group is bringing new life to the world of flooring selection with Floorvana, a free, brand new app for smart devices. With Shaw’s Floorvana color matching app, consumers can now capture and connect their inspiration with the perfect flooring for all of their rooms through patent pending color matching technology.

“We know that in 2014 there are more smart devices in the world than there are people. We are taking advantage of this technology and bringing it to the flooring industry. Agility and inspiration are the keys to reaching the modern consumer. We want to offer consumers and our retailers an option that will cater to current digital expectations, wherever our consumer is,” said Misty Hodge, director of digital platforms at Shaw Floors.

Floorvana, named from the term “nirvana” and a sense of “being in the perfect state”, lets consumers capture inspiration anywhere and transform it to the floor. “With the app, we want to transform her flooring experience. Floorvana bridges the gap and lets the consumer connect her inspiring moments to flooring. Her floor is no longer just a foundation, it’s a memory of that special trip. It’s a reflection of her family celebrations. It’s an experience that will bring a personal and special meaning to her home,” said Kathy Young, vice president of residential marketing at Shaw Floors.

Once a photo is uploaded to Floorvana, consumers can filter color selections across all flooring categories, create a color palette and browse products while saving and sharing their products along the way. Floorvana and its patent pending technology is a part of Shaw’s digital strategy for 2015 and is intended to be an asset for dealers, their associates and consumers.

The app is available for download on Android and iPhone.
