San Diego – DuChateau said it has added four unique hardwood flooring styles to its Vintage Remains Collection, an Interior Design Best of Year Honoree for its original four colors in 2013. The new colors are iron rust, salvaged terra, reclaimed ash and smoked mantle making the collection available in eight distinct colors.
These European oak hardwood floors incorporate proprietary colored oils and an aging process to create the four distinct looks. Each plank has a micro beveled edge and is hand sculpted with axe treatments to give the appearance of reclaimed timbers found in dismantled antique structures.
Suitable for interiors in residential or commercial environments, the planks are 7-7/16 inches wide by 72 inches long and can be glued, nailed, stapled or floated. The flooring is tongue and groove for easy installation and engineered for added stability.
The Vintage Remains Collection uses an environmentally friendly hard-wax oil finish offering excellent durability and renewability while penetrating deep into the wood fibers and protecting from within. This environmentally friendly, ultra-low VOC, preservative-free, unique lustrous finish maximizes the wood’s natural character and beauty. Natural ingredients include: sunflower, soybean and thistle oil combined with natural waxes, carnauba and canella. It also contains a micro wax for ease of use that provides high sealing properties.
