Dallas—U.S. Senator Kay Hagan recently visited Pergo’s Garner, N.C., production facility. During her visit, the Senator and members of her staff learned how laminate flooring is made and gained insight into Pergo’s role in the history of this flooring category. Hagan was briefed on the different skills required to produce quality laminate and how Pergo has invested in employee training and state-of-the-art equipment to retain its leadership position in a competitive market.

“All of us at Pergo were delighted to welcome Sen. Hagan and the new Manufacturing Advisory Commission members to our facility,” said Bart Stoferris, vice president of laminate operations, who oversees Pergo Flooring in Garner. “We appreciate and value Sen. Hagan’s support of manufacturing across North Carolina. Her visit provided us with an opportunity to highlight the good work being done by our talented team of employees and showcase recent investments we’ve made at the plant.”
