Mannington Mills has announced the passing of Anthony “Tony” Kelly, former president and CEO of Mannington Mills, on January 3, 2024, at the age of 88.
Kelly served as president and CEO from 1992 until his retirement in 2001, and his impact on Mannington Mills cannot be overstated, the company said. He successfully led the company through the Mannington Gold crisis, which required not only sound judgment and business acumen, but a commitment to associates and customers that has since become the hallmark of Mannington Mills’ culture.
After Johnny Campbell’s death in 1997, Kelly, along with Keith Campbell and then-COO Tom Davis, developed the core values that Mannington associates live by today: Care, Do the Right Thing, Work Hard/Play Hard and Control Our Own Destiny.
“We are incredibly grateful for all Tony’s contributions, and extend our deepest sympathies to his family, especially his wife of 60 years, Sheila,” Mannington said in a press release.
