Waregem, Belgium—Unilin Technologies will be launching two new wall systems at Domotex and TISE: Wallpad and Uniwall. According to the company, both wall systems offer a quick and easy solution to mount locking panels to a wall without glue while still allowing them to expand. The system uses the high-performing Unilin locking systems. With these technologies, laminate and SPC products can be applied to different walls types without any specialized tools.
Wallpad
Wallpad enables the installation of standard panels with Uniclic and an attached underlayment that can simply be installed by stapling. The Wallpad panels are suited for multiple wall types. The Uniclic locking system offers the same high performance as its flooring. The panels are locked into each other in two orthogonal directions, while the padding system has been designed to allow for dimensional expansion of the panels.
Uniwall
Uniwall is installed using clips that also allow for expansion because of a flexible mounting method. The clips and wall system can be attached to multiple wall types or on studs. Upstanding edges due to restrained expansion are avoided leading to more durable and long-lasting products.
Both systems use laminate or SPC panels of flooring sizes and are an addition to Unilin’s existing ClicWall technology that allows the seamless finishing of walls using glueless laminate panels of room height.
“We are excited to showcase these new technologies that make our glueless locking technologies even more versatile,” said Floris Koopmans, sales director, Unilin Technologies. “Glueless locking panels can now be used for floor and wall and the new wall systems are easy to install because of the combination of the pad or clips together with our trusted click systems. Both systems are engineered to allow for flexibility and expansion of the panels. It’s a great way to play with different designs from floor to wall and it offers many opportunities for manufacturers.”
Unilin will exhibit at Domotex Hannover and The International Surfaces Event in Las Vegas in January 2023 at booth 6414.
