Calhoun, Ga.—For fifteen consecutive years, Mohawk has earned a place among Training magazine’s ranking of world-class learning and development organizations.
“During this challenging and unprecedented time, Mohawk’s commitment to personal and professional development has never been more important,” said Heather Hess, talent development manager, Mohawk. “Our training professionals have reinforced messages of workplace safety and well-being while emphasizing the skills necessary for individuals to meet customer needs in a rapidly changing market. Our learning professionals upskilled quickly to adapt to the virtual learning environment and demonstrated innovative techniques to continue in-person training while ensuring safety, quality and an impactful learner experience, which enabled employees to deliver business results.”
In its twenty-first year, Training magazine’s annual ranking is the recognized standard of excellence for workplace learning, according to Mohawk. This year, the magazine opted to limit its list to 100 organizations rather than its traditional 125 as part of a major 2021 editorial refresh that will include a revamped website and a redesign of its now quarterly print edition and exclusive online content. The magazine bases its rankings on multiple factors, including training hours per employee, formal learning programs, investments in professional development and how training initiatives help the business achieve its goals.
“In a year marked by constant uncertainty, training provides knowledge, confidence and security,” Hess said. “As we help individuals stay safe and healthy and fulfill their potential, we help the business achieve its goals and deliver the results our customers count on. We are honored that Training magazine has recognized our programs for the fifteenth year in a row, establishing Mohawk consistently among the upper echelon of corporate learning and development.”
In its 2021 application, Mohawk focused on the company’s comprehensive approach to training, spotlighting innovative safety, operational, sales and leadership initiatives. The company also emphasized its award-winning apprenticeship program, nationally recognized health coaching platforms, tuition reimbursement opportunities and retailer training resources. Mohawk was the first flooring company to be ranked on Training magazine’s annual list as well as becoming the first manufacturing company to score a spot in the top five.
The 2021 Training Top 100 rankings will be formally announced on Feb. 8 during an interactive virtual gala, reflecting Training magazine’s commitment to prioritize health and safety during the pandemic.
“We salute these best-in-class organizations for their steadfast dedication to continuous employee learning and development, their agility and innovation in transforming their training delivery in response to the pandemic and their passionate commitment to the current and future success of their people,” said Lorri Freifeld, Training magazine’s editor-in-chief.
