Salem, N.J.—Mannington recently presented its first Buffy Campbell Heart of Mannington Award to two deserving recipients: Sandy Tyson and Jackie Zemaitis. The award is named in memory of Buffy Campbell who passed away last fall at the age of 98.
The award was created to recognize someone who represents the “heart and soul” of the Mannington organization. Voting took place within the Mannington sales team and according to Keith Campbell, chairman of the coard, the criteria includes “someone who always has the best interests of Mannington at heart and goes above and beyond to be a positive representative for Mannington and its values both inside and outside the company.”
Tyson, a sales operations manager, works in the Salem, N.J., office and has been with Mannington 40 years. Zemaitis is a customer service representative in Calhoun, Ga., and has been with Mannington for two years.
“This is such an appropriate way to honor my mother who for many years, embodied the heart and soul of Mannington,” Campbell said. “I think she would be so pleased that Sandy and Jackie are the first recipients of the award.”
Beloved by all who knew her, Buffy Campbell was the wife of former Mannington chairman Johnny Campbell, mother of current chairman Keith Campbell, and grandmother of Zack Zehner, president of Mannington Residential.
