Huntington, N.Y.—Floor Covering News announced the appointment of Megan Salzano as its new senior associate editor. At the same time, she will take the helm as editor of GO (Green Operations) magazine, a sister publication published quarterly.
In this dual capacity, Salzano will be responsible for writing news stories and feature articles, attending trade shows and various industry events, proofreading and copyediting. She will also support further development of FCNews’ electronic and social media initiatives. With respect to GO magazine, Salzano will spearhead the publication’s editorial focus and direction as well as develop fresh new concepts to raise the magazine’s profile among the A&D community.

Prior to joining FCNews, Salzano served as senior associate editor for HomeWorld Business and Gourmet Insider magazines, two ICD publications. She also served as a contributing editor for Floor Covering Weekly, a Hearst Publication, for several years. Salzano attended Hofstra University in New York, where she earned a Master’s degree in English and creative writing, along with a Bachelor’s degree in print journalism. She also has cable TV news and radio experience.
Salzano is amped about her return to flooring. “I’m excited to jump back into the flooring industry and bring my skills to a publication dedicated to its advancement.
