Gerflor’s award-winning Creation LVT

Chicaco—Gerflor, a leading resilient flooring designer and manufacturer, was recently awarded the Red Dot Product Design 2016 award by an international panel of 41 architects, designers and specialized journalists from among 5,214 entries from 57 countries. The company’s primary LVT line, Creation, was recognized for its range of mineral, wood and textile designs with different embossed finishes and installation systems, its usefulness and recyclability.

Considered one of the most prestigious global design awards—the Oscars of the design world—the Red Dot is given annually to those products that embody the best of innovation, quality, functionality and ecological compatibility.

“With Creation LVT, the innovation in design came down to the right formula for combining beautiful aesthetic qualities with superior performance standards, which we’ve mastered,” said Gino Venturelli, Gerflor’s chief designer. “Gerflor prides itself on realistic lines, textures and colors in combination with strong technical and functional components. We’re honored to be in the company of such powerhouse product designers and previous Red Dot winners as Apple, BMW, Audi, Adidas, Dell and LG Electronics.”

Gerflor was celebrated at the Red Dot Gala on July 4 in Essen, Germany. Creation LVT will be showcased among all award-winning products at the Red Dot Design Museum, also in Essen.
