Dalton—Tandus Centiva, a Tarkett company, hosted a plethora of educational activities during Earth Month. In an effort to involve local communities in Earth Month festivities, Tandus Centiva hosted an Instagram contest using the hashtag #TCGreen2015. The contest honored those that were actively improving their communities.
Tandus Centiva also shared its progress on implementing the Cradle-to-Cradle principles while executives gave local sustainability presentations to reach as many people as possible. As a standard part of the ReStart program, a focused effort to gather old catalogs and architectural folders to be reused and recycled was accomplished.
Tandus Centiva facilities in Dalton and Florence, Ala., have adopted streets and made a commitment to keeping them clean. Employees were able to remove approximately 355 lbs. of litter from streets in both locations.
