Anaheim, Calif.—Following a successful launch in Chicago in mid-January, the remaining five 2014 installation training courses sponsored by the World Floor Covering Association (WFCA) and taught by the International Certified Flooring Installers Association (CFI) have been secured.

“The Chicago event was so well received, WFCA affiliates and member companies clamored to secure one of the five remaining seminars,” said Scott Humphrey, WFCA’s CEO. “We couldn’t be more pleased with the response to our program with CFI. People came from all corners of the country to attend our most recent course and I have no doubt response will be just as favorable for the remaining classes on the schedule.”

The 2014 schedule is as follows: March 4-7, Baltimore, hosted by the Maryland Northern Virginia Floor Covering Association at Fishman Solutions; March 18-21, Wichita, Kan., hosted by Star Flooring and Design; April 8-11, Atlanta; May 13-16,          Seattle, hosted by the Northwest Flooring Association, and June 3-6, Los Angeles.

“The workshops provide the opportunity for training and CFI certification in carpet, ceramic, resilient, laminate and wood flooring surfaces,” said Jim Walker, CFI’s CEO. “Installers who successfully complete the two days of training receive CFI certification, decals and a certificate. As trainers, we’re witnessing tremendous enthusiasm by installers for the program. It’s definitely making a difference.”

In order to qualify for this training and CFI certification, installers must have completed at least two years of active installation work. The standard program fee for the certification training is $495. As an incentive for WFCA members, association sponsorship of the program reduces their rate to $295. In addition, members may be eligible for greater discounts through the WFCA Scholarship Fund.

Space in the installer program is limited, so interested individuals and companies are encouraged to sign up soon. WFCA membership is required to receive discounts.
