manningtonSalem, N.J.—Mannington Mills announced it is planning a major expansion of its luxury vinyl tile (LVT) manufacturing operation in Madison, Georgia.
The company said it will break ground for the expansion immediately, with plans to double the size of that facility’s footprint.

The project will also significantly increase Mannington’s local workforce, creating 219 new jobs over the next few years, with the potential for more, Mannington said.

Mannington acquired Burke Flooring in 2008 and last March acquired Amtico to grow its resilient business.
Doug Ankney, vice president of operations at Mannington, said, “When it’s complete, Mannington’s LVT manufacturing capacity will have quadrupled since March 2012.”

The facility will be fully operational by January 2015, Mannington said.
