New York—Dates have been announced for the New York International Carpet Show (NYICS). The event will take place Oct. 6 to Oct. 8, at the Metropolitan Pavilion, 125 West 18th Street, New York 10011 during Metro Market Week.

“NYICS has become the leading trade show of hand woven carpets in North America,” said Ryan Reitmeyer, vice-president of sales, Carol Piper Rugs, Houston, Texas. “It features a carefully edited selection of the best wholesalers in the rug industry. Anyone looking to successfully conduct business in the hand woven rug industry must attend this show.”

“In an industry that has been fragmented and difficult at times to organize as a group, (NYICS) has provided an agenda to stimulate interest and draw quality suppliers and importers,” said Nicholas Lomangino, vice president, floorcovering, Kravet, Inc.

“We exhibit at NYICS to continue branding the New Moon name in the rug industry,” said Josephine Kurtz, artistic director, New Moon Rugs. “It is a great time to see all of our dealers from around the country and gives us the opportunity to show all of our new designs. It is also a great venue for making new contacts. We think it is important to be a part of the Oriental rug community, and exhibit alongside our peers.”
