Bridgeport, Ala.—Beaulieu America recently presented schools in Bridgeport, Ala., with $9,000 to support education. “We are extremely happy to make this contribution to the community’s children,” said Vicki Baker of employee development for Beaulieu America’s Bridgeport facilities.
Earlier this summer, Ms. Baker met with the elementary, middle and high schools and asked about their needs. Beaulieu responded with a check for each. “The schools were absolutely thrilled,” she said. “We are proud to be a part of Bridgeport’s growth.”
Bridgeport Elementary received $3,000 for security cameras, Bridgeport Middle School received $3,000 for e-readers and e-books, and the North Jackson High School Marching Band received $3,000 for consession stand renovations.
Beaulieu America is the largest employer in Bridgeport with approximately 900 team members. It operates two plants: A carpet yarn facility since 1987 and a carpet backing facility since 1990.
