Fred Roche, Parterre president. “For example, he looked at the way shadows of ferns fall on the sidewalk where he takes his morning walks – even the textures of a fossilized fern. Similarly, inspiration came from Disney World’s Animal Kingdom, where impressions of leaves are included in the cement walkways, becoming part of the ‘flooring’ surface design.”
