Lexington, Ky. –Unexpected colors in the look of natural wood plank underscore Natura HDP – High Definition Porcelain, the latest in the series of High Definition Porcelain styles from Florida Tile.

Intended largely for commercial use, Natura HDP will find a home in residential settings as well. Natura HDP is ADA compliant and appropriate for commercial walls and countertops as well as in residential and most commercial floor applications.

According to Sean Cilona, marketing director, “The seven colors and the slightly distressed look of Natura HDP wood grains are in keeping with our traditional wood looks in porcelain tile, but the bold in colorations of the natural oak graining evoke the charm and character of historic seaside settings. Designers will love it.”

“The name Natura is an Italian word meaning natural,” said Cilona, “and this new High Definition Porcelain is Florida Tile’s modern interpretation of the most natural building block, wood. We began with the look of traditional oak plank and refined it to meet the current demands of today’s designers, architects and builders.”

The 6×24-inch planks and coordinating 24-inch bullnose are available in the following colors: Wilmington White, Nantucket Gray, Cape Cod Charcoal, Hampton Blonde, Cayman Red, Nantucket Blue and Charleston Brown.

All Florida Tile products, including Natura HDP – High Definition Porcelain, are third-party certified to contain at least 40% recycled content. The surface is compliant with the new ANSI DCOF Acutest requirements for commercial or residential surfaces expected to be walked on when wet, according to Cilona. He added that Natura HDP has passed indoor air quality and water absorption testing, is ANSI and NAHB Green Building Points approved, and will contribute to USGBC LEED points.

The product line is part of a revolutionary, all-new tile product category, HDP High Definition Porcelain,  a Florida Tile trademarked brand. It is the most technically advanced glazing system available today utilizing digital printing technology, similar to that which changed the television industry, to deliver the most realistic image possible.
