West Bloomfield, Mich.—The FCICA will return to New Orleans for its 2013 convention, slated for Feb. 24 to 27.
Although the group held its conventions in New Orleans in 2001 and 2004, Kimberly Oderkirk, executive vice president, believes attendance next year will be the best yet. “We have a new focus for our educational sessions to be geared to installation managers and will have great networking events.”
Additional highlights of the convention include attendees’ choice of a golf or swamp tour, welcoming reception, optimal member networking, table top (vendor and manufacturer) trade shows, committee and board of directors’ meetings, an off-site manufacturer-sponsored event, plantation tours, cooking tour, breakfast at Brennan’s with a Creole walking tour, as well as the Wednesday “Katrina and Beyond” all-day event.
