Hicksville, N.Y.—A quintet of suppliers—HomerWood, High Performance Subfloors (HPS), IndusParquet, Mapei and Metroflor—have each announced new distributor partnerships.
HomerWood has added B.R. Funsten and Co. to distribute its solid and engineered hardwood floors for the California, Arizona and Nevada markets. Funsten is headquartered in Manteca, Calif., and has 25 branch locations throughout the three states.
“As a supplier, we have an obligation to provide customers with the best products and services possible,” said Paul Walker, general manager, HomerWood. “Funsten is a great distribution partner that provides the quality and service levels our customers expect.”

Next, to expand its West Coast presence, IndusParquet has added Galleher, which covers California, Arizona and Nevada.
“IndusParquet produces a reliable, constant supply of exotic hardwood we know will be extremely popular with our dealers and their customers,” said Jeff Hamer, Galleher’s president. “We’re committed to stock every item in our custom sample package in an effort to provide the best delivery.”

Mapei has partnered with East Coast distributor Best Tile to provide the company’s total line of products to flooring contractors from North Carolina to Maine.
Best Tile personnel have attended the Mapei Technical Institute (MTI) in Deerfield Beach, Fla., to gain insight into the products and the latest methods for installing tile and stone. Mapei is also providing training in its new MTI branch at its New Jersey manufacturing facility. Mapei and Best Tile are holding events throughout the summer to introduce/promote Mapei’s installation products to contractors.
Metroflor announced Apollo Distributing Co. has become the LVT producer’s newest distributor, covering a territory that includes northern New Jersey, western and southern Connecticut and the metropolitan New York marketplace, including Long Island.
Lastly, HPS has added two distribution partners—Commercial Flooring Distributors (CFD) in Debary, Fla., and Hiline Unique Flooring in Minneapolis—as it steadily grows its Schönox product network across North America, noted a company spokesperson.
