Atlanta—Surya recently announced that James Govola and Nancy McNally have won the prestigious Surya Sales Rep of the Year award.  The award, established in 2009 recognizes the successful relationships that representatives build with their clients.

Govola has been with Surya for five years and covers the Ohio, Western PA, Upstate NY, and West Virginia territory.   After winning the award, Govola said, “I’m not the best ‘salesman’ by any means. I work hard to build trust with each of my customers, and I absolutely love what I do.”

Building long-term relationships is at the core of both winning representatives’ personal mantras and is one of Surya’s keys to successful selling.

McNally has been with Surya for three years and covers the Florida territory, specifically focusing on the design services industry.  She is now a two-time winner of this award, as she also took home the prize in 2010. McNally said: “Repeat customers are so important in this business, so I always make sure I treat my customers as my friends.”

The awards were presented at a company dinner held at Steak Street, in High Point, North Carolina during the Fall Furniture Market where Surya president, Satya Tiwari, personally presented the awards.

Surya also values and rewards those people who embrace the true spirit of Surya with the Ray of Light award.  This year’s Ray of Light award winner was Jane Reed.  Jane also is a noted sales representative for Surya, covering the Minnesota, Wisconsin and North and South Dakota territory.   Jane reflects the spirit of Surya because she works hard, is loyal to the brand, caring for her fellow Surya employees, as well as develops long-term client relationships. At Surya, success is defined by relationships, and Jane is dedicated to her clients and her fellow Surya teammates.

“James, Nancy and Jane have a tremendous amount of integrity, and they truly care about their customers and fellow employees,” said Tiwari.  “Surya is recognized as one of the most progressive companies in the nation, and the competition for these awards is high.  To receive one of these awards means that the winner is very special.”
