Verona, Va. – Personna, manufacturer of high-precision specialty blades and bladed tools, introduced a new line of coated blades—the most durable in the industry – at the Surfaces trade show last month in Las Vegas, N.V.

More than a thousand visitors from the U.S. and abroad flocked to the company’s booth throughout the three-day conference to see what was new from the company with a 125-year tradition of quality and innovation. Personna representatives were on hand to demonstrate its revolutionary blades and several new tools that raise the industry standards for sharpness, durability and precision.

“There was a lot of excitement about how Personna is helping the pros get better results than ever.  Our new blades are at least 50% more durable and sharper than any blade available in the floor covering marketplace,” said Bob Senesac, vice president, marketing industrial/professional division. “For just a few dollars more, our customers are assured unequalled precision when cutting, even on the harder surfaces of “green” backing materials being used in carpets today.”

Personna also introduced trade show visitors to several new bladed tools, including the redesigned loop pile cutter, rollers, and a seam iron with a new thermostat.

“We added many new features to our line of bladed tools to deliver superior precision and comfort to customers. Our loop pile cutter’s ergonomic design offers better blade control and added comfort. Customers will also find the improved handle on our rollers reduces fatigue. And the new thermostat in our seam iron helps reduce variation in heat cycles,” said Mr. Senesac.

Complementing its new product releases, Personna also announced the launch of its new website, personnablades.com, which offers visitors 24/7 access to products and services, and the appointment of industry guru Robert Varden as technical advisor.

Personna’s new website enables customers all over the world to purchase products online, find a local retailer and much more.  They can get product information and quotes, learn about new products and watch instructional videos to improve their skills and techniques.  Other exciting features include a custom blade design option and special offers and sweepstakes, such as the 2012 Personna Blades for a Year Giveaway. The entry form, details and official rules are available at personnablades.com.

“When visitors log on, they will be sure to notice the quality, superior performance and dependability they have come to know and trust from Personna. We’ve built our new website with the same goal as when we design our products – to provide our customers with the best solutions that meet their needs,” Mr. Senesac said.

Mr. Varden, president of the International Certified Flooring Installers Association (CFI), was also in Las Vegas when Personna announced his new role as technical advisor. A globally-recognized name with more than 35 years in the flooring installation business, Mr. Varden will assist Personna in the research, design and development of its carpet installation tools and blades, as well as oversee customer support services, including a technical support line and instructional videos available at Personna’s new website, personnablades.com.

“Robert has played a huge role in raising the bar for flooring installation professionals and shares Personna’s commitment to providing our customers with the best products and services the industry has to offer. We look forward to the contributions Robert will make to the Personna brand,” Mr. Senesac said.

As one of the most attended Surfaces trade show in recent history, Personna officials noted a 25 percent increase in traffic at its booth over previous years.  As part of a mailing promotion, visitors, who stopped by to see the new products, were eligible for several giveaways, including a $10 gift card that can be used for online orders.  The offer was so popular the company will offer it again in 2012.
