Dalton With the introduction of an iPad app for Karastan, now consumers can take Karastan’s full catalog wherever they go and easily match styles, colors, textures, and patterns as they shop.

Using Karastan on the Go on their iPads, consumers can access both of Karastan’s rug and carpet catalogs, zoom in on images to really discern colors and patterns and save their favorites for easy referral. The dealer locator uses the iPad’s location and matches it to a local Karastan dealer. So if a customer is shopping around town, she can quickly find products and locate her nearest Karastan dealer.

“Our dealers have been using the Karastan on the Go app in their stores to share product knowledge and when they go out to measure client’s homes,” said Stacie Green, of Karastan. “Now our customers can also tap into this resource from their personal iPads. This is a great marketing channel for us since iPads are heavily used by women, and it allows us to reach younger and mobile customers.”

An iPad loaded with the Karastan app is a must-have tool for Wendy Fried, owner of G. Fried Carpets and Design Center, Westbury, NY. “The Karastan on the Go Ipad application is great! I bring my iPad out to the customers if they tell me I am missing something on my rack.”

Steven Wagner of Dealer Ignition, the developer of Karastan on the Go, noted, “In the last 90 days, 18% of the total web traffic to Karastan dealer websites comes from iPad users and it is increasing every month.”

Karastan on the Go is free and can be downloaded from . In December, the app was launched in the Apple app store. Karastan on the Go is not available in versions for the iPhone or Android devices.
