AtlantaThe Area Rug industry’s most celebrated event honoring the most spectacular introductions took place at the height of the first Market of the year, the Atlanta International Area Rug Market featured the National Oriental Rug Show, which took place Jan. 12-15 with Temporaries, Jan. 13-15.

The Atlanta International Area Rug Market runs in conjunction with the nation’s only global wholesale trade event of 2012: Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market, which is taking place Jan. 11-18. The National Oriental Rug Show (NORS) is staged in an exclusive partnership with the Oriental Rug Importers Association (ORIA).

The area rug winners—selected from the Museum of Introductions (MOI) gallery by an independent panel of renowned tastemakers—were announced and presented by AmericasMart.

ORIA (Oriental Rug Importers Association), the National Association of Area Rug Importers, Wholesalers and Manufacturers honored Chas Sydney at the AMCA awards. The America's Magnificent Carpet Awards recognizes the latest area rug introductions in a special night of celebration and achievement. Sydney is pictured with wife, Donna.
