HADDONFIELD, N.J.—The American Institute of Architects (AIA) has authorized the International Standards and Training Alliance (INSTALL) to teach continuing education courses pertaining to healthcare construction to its membership.
INSTALL representatives are able to offer the “Best Practices in Healthcare Construction in Occupied Facilities” course, which emphasizes flooring. “The course helps specifiers identify challenges involved in construction work in an occupied healthcare facility,” said John McGrath, INSTALL’s director. “Specifiers are also taught to recognize potential hazards and understand specific challenges involved when replacing or installing flooring in an occupied healthcare facility.”
