Lancaster, Pa.—Armstrong Commercial Flooring donated products to a new reality television show called “School Pride” debuting on NBC this Friday, Oct. 15 at 8:00 p.m. EST/7:00 p.m. Central. The program tells the story of communities coming together to renovate their aging and neglected public schools. Cameras followed students, teachers and parents as they rolled up their sleeves and rebuilt their schools.
“Being a part of ‘School Pride’ was an easy decision for us,” said Dominic Rice, vice president of Armstrong Commercial Flooring. “Armstrong manufactures a wide selection of flooring products that perform well in schools and educational facilities so this was a very natural fit for us. We knew we would have a flooring product to meet the needs of the schools being renovated. Plus, we believe wholeheartedly that schools are a worthwhile investment and are very proud of our participation in this endeavor.”
The premier episode airing this week will highlight the struggle of Enterprise Middle School in Compton, Calif., and will feature Migrations BioBased Tile with BioStride.
“School Pride” is produced Cheryl Hines from “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and Denise Cramsey of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” and “True Beauty”. The schools and communities highlighted in the series include Enterprise Middle School in Compton, Calif.; Lanier Elementary School in Baton Rouge, La.; Kingston Springs Elementary in Nashville, Tenn.; Communication and Media Arts School in Detroit, Mich.; Hollenbeck Middle School in Los Angeles, Calif., Needles High School in Needles, Calif.; and Los Angeles Center for Enriched Studies in Los Angeles, Calif.
