Last week I was lucky enough to tour the HGTV 2010 Green Home. The house was a beautiful, newly constructed, New England style home. It was kept small to keep it effectively green, from construction down to details like the recycled wire basket light fixture. Shaw was the sole flooring sponsor and provider for the home for the third year in a row. Here are a few images from the tour:
This is the living room as you enter the home.
Designer Lisa Woodrum used a bound rug from Shaw’s Couture collection in Charcoal. The Anso nylon softened the hickory floor that was installed throughout the house.
Shaw’s Lunar 3 x 6 tile in Walnut installed in a herringbone pattern was chosen as a more durable choice for the room just off the garage.
The stair runner in the Green Home used Shaw’s Philadelphia Commercial collection in the Capital III style in Electoral Vote. The fibers are constructed of nylon.
The master bedroom.
The bedroom featured Shaw’s Kathy Ireland Collection in Majestic. The fiber contains 25% post-consumer recycled content from recycled plastic bottles.
Anso nylon from Shaw’s Queen collection in the Desireable State style, featured in Heart in the children’s room.
Shaw’s Epic engineered hardwood floor in Burnt Sugar.
