LARGO, FLA.—Carl Demoray, a retired carpet executive known as a “natural salesman,” died April 14. He was 91.
“He kept it simple and carried the message well, touching the lives of countless people,” said David Hudgins, president of Carpet Crafts, where Demoray served as sales manager prior retirement. “He was a great storyteller, a natural salesman and enjoyed a long and successful career in sales.” Demoray was sales manager of Cumberland Mills since its inception until he joined Lanas Carpet Mills, also as sales manager. Following his tenure at Lanas, he became sales manager of Carpet Crafts, where he served until his retirement.
“Carl was an honest, hard working sales manager,” Hudgins said. “His colleagues admired and respected him. He was accessible to them, always working to help make their work successful.”
Demoray was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Yvonne. He is survived by children Karen Mills, Yvonne Boss, Carl Jr. and Gregory; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
